Following Jesus

I have decided to follow Jesus, I have decided to follow Jesus, a lot of you may know this song but have you decided?

Mark 8:35 says "for whoever wants to save his (higher,spiritual,eternal) life, will lose it (the lower,natural,temporal life which is lived only on earth); and whoever gives up his life (which is lived only on earth); for My sake and the Gospel's will save it (his higher, spiritual life in the eternal kingdom of God)  (Jesus is the one talking)

Serving God is more than going to church every Sunday, every Bible study, doing community service,giving alms, praise dancing, singing in the choir, ushering or whatever. Yall know where I am headed. You have to make time for him. Read His Word(Bible) for yourself and pray and listen to Him(Holy Spirit). We cannot say we know God and we do not know when He speaks.

Your life has to show you know Him and love Him. Jesus said "If ye love me you will keep my commandments". (John 14:15). Read the 10 commandments(Exodus 20), even if you do not know it, you should know Jesus said the greatest command is to love God with all your heart,soul, and mind and Love your neighbor as yourself. What is Love check 1 Corinthians 13 4-13.

You cannot say you love God with your mouths but your heart is far from Him (Matt 15:8). God is not mocked Gal 6: 7-8. You cannot just want prosperity and blessings in this temporal world..

Please people check yourself,  Repent the kingdom of God is near. Seek God wholeheartedly, not for what you can get but for who He is.

Our walk with Christ is a personal journey. We cannot wait for others to follow before we follow. When you hear the call please ANSWER.

renew your mind with the Word of God (Holy Bible), I read somewhere the Bible is one of the best selling books but barely read smh. There is sooooooooo much knowledge and wisdom, help, comfort and so on. Check it out for yourselves. You cannot tell me your serving God if you are so concerned with celebrities and pop culture. You are up on all the new gossip. You keep up with designer labels or the newest technology. You wake up to scroll through your Facebook, Instagram, snap chat, and other social ,media outlets. . You will keep trying to fill a void that only God can fill. I am not saying any of these things are bad but what are you using them for? Are you using it for good or for bad? There should be a limit as to how we use social media and are we being ambassadors for Christ on them. I am not saying there are bad but there is a limit. Focus on God. .Do not store up treasures here on earth but build up God's kingdom though love.

Being the world's friend is being an enemy to God. James 4:4
Stop looking at what your family,friends,pastor, elder woman in church or whoever is doing and look to Christ. We are called Christians for a reason. We are here to follow Christ not anyone else. Stop being deceived by false teachers. Check in 1 Timothy and 2nd, Yes I am giving you homework. If you care, you will go and look it up.If you can Google all sort of things why not? Google what the Bible says. I pray the Holy Spirit is convicting someone and change is taking place. I am sharing because I love you and do not want you to perish. God loves you more.

God is faithful and just to forgive you, if you confess your sins and draw near to Him.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8 . Don't we know a double-minded person is unstable in all their ways? check James 1:8
