Are you Covered?

Ephesians 6:10-17

"Finally Receive your power from the Lord and from his mighty strength. Put on all the armor that God supplies. In this way you can take a stand against the devil's strategies. This is not a wrestling match against a human opponent. We are wrestling with rulers,authorities,the powers who govern this world of darkness, and spiritual forces that control evil in the heavenly world. For this reason, take up all the armor that God supplies. Then you will be able to stand during these evil days. Once you have overcome all obstacles,you will be able to stand your ground. So then take your stand!Fasten Truth around your waist like a belt. Put on God's approval as your breastplate. Put on your shoes so that you are ready to spread the Good News that gives peace.In addition to all these, take the Christian faith as your shield. With it you can put out all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Also take salvation as your helmet and the word of God as the sword that the Spirit supplies" This is from God's words translation Bible.

Being a Christian is a battle. Guess what? God gave us the supplies/materials we need to fight. The devil is a deceiver,trickster, and so much more. We have to be very very very very careful what we watch.

This blog is coming because I see a lot of Christians excited about the new season of the show Scandal airing and I am saddened. I was one of those people a couple months ago. But I thank my Heavenly father for opening my eyes of understanding to His words and ways. I remember reading a blog or post by some girl that said the show should not be watched by Christians but then I was being deceived so I was indulging in watching the show anyways.

How can we be contributing to the success of a show that goes against everything God does not want us to do. There is fornication,adultery,swindlers,murderers and so much more in that show. We should know or if we do not know. These people will not inherit the kingdom of God(1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Instead of us watching the show, we should be talking to God about how we can save such people from perishing instead of supporting/encouraging it.

Please people stop gratifying the flesh. We are called to live HOLY, Godly and Righteous lives. This means being obedient to God's word. In  Colossians 3:5-7 we are told to put to death what belongs to the world.

We need to spend our time growing/maturing in Christ not continuing being fed baby food (milk) when we are suppose to be teachers Hebrews 5:12-14.

Lets be honest with ourselves will Jesus watch that show with us? so why are we grieving the Holy Spirit? Ephesians 4:29 We may even be getting convicted then but we want to continue gratifying the flesh instead of feeding the spirit. smh Please let us change so we can run the race before us. The devil owns the world so He will do so much to keep us from coming to the knowledge of truth(WORD OF GOD).

We are told to think on what is pure,lovely,noble,right and so much(Philippians 4:8). Watching Scandal or any other show or movie like Think like a man or the kinds that displeases God is not helping us think on any of these things. Let us rise up, awaken from the schemes of the enemy. There is so much work to be done but it cannot be done if we as believers are comfortable where we are or are not growing. It is feeding the carnal mind  that may cause some people to be tempted so fellow believers let us Guard our hearts, because out of the  abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. If we keep feeding our spirit with such things we will eventually start speaking it .(Matthew 12:34)

I know this blog will help someone out because God led me to write it. Please if it touches you. Talk to God(pray) and stay rooted and grounded in Him. The devil will do whatever to keep us from our glorious inheritance in Christ. God is sooooo good that He gave us so much knowledge and wisdom on how to fight the good fight of faith. Stop being deceived we have to sow into the things of the Spirit and not the flesh. The flesh ways are different from the spirit. The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41. Pray continually and meditate on scriptures. Draw near to God.
