Most children born recently are not started off well. They are being neglected by their parents. They are leaving the training of their children to the media. Media is of the devil so mostly everything on TV,radio and in popular magazines contradict the Bible. Ephesians 2:2 talks about the devil being the ruler of the kingdom of the air. Taking children to church is not the solution It helps but church is only one day they can learn something that will influence them to become godly children. I cannot even vow they are learning it in their sunday classes. As parents you should talk,discipline and love your children, Some parents do not talk with their children unless to send them on errands. They do not teach them the word of God or have daily devotions together. Time spent with people is more valuable than giving/ buying material things. My mom has a quote on the wall that says " Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but the moments that take our breaths away".Some parents buy the most expensive gadgets to show love or to make up for time not spent with kids but it is spoiling the child and making matters worse. In order to raise godly children the parent has to be godly not religious. If they are religious or just church goers the children may or may not become godly. The parents have to be saved(born again). They have to recognize there are sinners by nature and without God there are nothing. People always think if someone is good in society's eye there are good to God. By no means that is not how God works. His word is what everyone will be judged by so study to show yourself approved.
I remember when I grew up. God bless Nigeria. I knew the importance of God. I may not have understood as I do now but I saw the importance of going to church, singing praise and worship and putting offering. In school we had assembly where we sang, and prayed to God. I even had to take Bible knowledge classes. God was instilled in children everywhere they went. In America the Devil has taken over and probably now in Nigeria the devil is getting to children through social media. I pray Nigerians will understand the rich foundation they have centered around God and stop trying to follow America's ungodly ways. The solution to America's problem is to humble themselves before God and pray and turn from their wicked ways. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
In Nigeria Christmas was about God and family. We put up a tree but we did not expect gifts but here in America Christmas is all about shopping and buying gifts instead of appreciating the free gift(Jesus Christ) God gave us that we did not deserve. Thanksgiving a holiday were people are suppose be thankful is turned into people consumed with over feeding themselves when other people are starving,homeless and cannot get a glass of water to drink. Then after the fake thanksgiving people go spending money they probably do not have on things they do not need because of an illusion of sales. I would not even get started talking about Halloween. I will save if for my book lol. When I was younger I barely got anything I truly wanted but I had all I needed even though as a kid I probably did not recognize it. I remember wanting a barbie house and other expensive toys and did not get it. In this century some kids have better phones, and so much expensive stuff that I would not have imagined getting back in the days or even than I do right now. Parents/guardians you have to direct your children in the ways of the Lord. If you let society raise your children you will regret it and God will not be happy with you either.
This century kids think they are entitled to things since it is readily available. I am working with pre-k children and it is so sad how kids refuse food prepared for them and just say' I do not like it " smh. Parents start your children off in Christ they will learn to be thankful/grateful. Children today are so unruly. Before you think it, I am not saying when I was growing up children were perfect or so good or neither was I. People said I was stubborn lol children back then were more obedient, grateful and disciplined. They followed what their parents said or did. They did not question/ fight/ argue. They had chores/responsibilities. Today since things have gotten so modernized kids do little to nothing around the house. Children think they are wise/smart because of so much information available to them on the internet. They stay on electronic gadgets all day. Parents say I cannot get them off the phone. Excuse me who bought it? It seems today children run the house and the parents do not realize it. Kids sorry to bust your bubble wisdom only comes from God. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
The lack of communication with children by parents or their guardian has caused so many problems. Some kids post so much personal information on social media sites. Little girls who did not grow up with a father are so desperate for love that they find it in the wrong places and time in their life.They really find LUST not love. They may sell themselves short to guys who deserve nothing from them. Most children are so self-centered and manner-less. They are horrible in my opinion. I pray God open parents eyes that still has a chance to influence their kids to change them into godly children. Those who has lost the chance I pray the 16 year old + will find Christ and be transformed into a loving,caring,holy, and righteous person.

Who do you love?
Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs, Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
This word is so loosely used in today's society. We say we love one another but none of the following characteristics/behaviors follows. Do you show this kind of love to your family members and others?
True love is sacrificial. Jesus Christ gave up his life for us. He came on a mission to save us and He did so. He knew people will beat him, his disciples will deny/betray him but He still took the wrath of God for us.

The way we know we've been transferred from death to life is that we love our brothers and sisters. Anyone who doesn't love is as good as dead. Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know very well that eternal life and murder don't go together.
So who do you love? I love Jesus Christ The brave man who took all my sins and died on the cross for them. The only way to show we love Christ is to love others. We have to be patient, kind, endure suffering from others, and keep no record of what so and so did to us. Speak the truth (word of a God) to others. God saved us to save others. We should not keep our knowledge of the truth to our self. If you are truly saved and love others like yourself, you will share the gospel with others. Do not keep it to yourself. To who much has been given, much will be demanded Luke 12:48.
The love of God is so deep. He loves us so much. He wants to show us this love if we let him. God will not force anything on you. Deut. 30:11-20 talks about life. He set before us life and prosperity, death and destruction but it seems a lot of people are picking death. If you truly want to live you have to love God. The way we show we love God is by walking in obedience to Him, and keep his commands, decrees and laws. Sin is what keeps God from you. You are not a child of God if you make a practice of sin (1 John 3:7-10). Knowing the right thing to do and not doing it is sin. Awake fellow believers stop being deceived and deceiving yourself. God is only near to the righteous. Are u righteous? Repent and turn from your evil ways, talk to God(pray) and read your word. He will direct you.

Relationships
Why are you in a relationship? 1 Cor 10:31 says whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Is God getting any glory in your relationship. If you are fornicating, depending on the other person more than God, then God is not getting any glory. We were made to glorify God. In all our ways we should acknowledge and glorify God.
When you are in a relationship there should be a purpose. The intention to get married should be at the back on your mind. If you do not see yourself marrying that person why are you wasting precious time texting, calling and hanging out with that person. I am 21 years old and have gone on only one date, People will find that shocking especially since I am in America. The culture says otherwise. Our standards as Christians should be the word of God(Holy Bible). Stop wasting your time, minutes,seconds and years on guys you see no future with.
In this century people say they are dating for fun or just pasting time. How can telling somone your thoughts, plans and dreams be fun and they have no business in it. You are being deceived all that time you could have spent reading your Bible, learning a new hobby, learning to cook, and so many other fun things. The problem with it is people claim is for fun but they are worried about what the boy/girl is doing. They are lurking on instagram pages, snooping through phone or asking people about the person's whereabouts lol. People who are already in a relationship. Examine it. Are you in the relationship because you are afraid to be alone, have low self-esteem issues or for fun. Everything we do will be judged by God.
Ecc. 12:14
For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing,whether it is good or evil.
When you stand before God what will you say about your relationship? It is for your own good to end a relationship with no purpose. You are building up so much baggage for your future husband/wife. You will start having trust issues and so many other issues people deal with because they were in meaningless relationships. I thank God I did not deal with this issue but I see so many people going down this route.
Some people may say I do not believe in marriage. I am sorry you don't. It is a beautiful thing but society has turned it into crap. Africans use it as a means to an end. Marrying girls to pay off debt,boys/girls marrying because the girl is pregnant which would not have happened if they feared God/ loved Him and obeyed his commandments. There are so many other reasons. Some people use the biological clock thing. They assume "I am not getting any younger and rush into marriage. If you truly know who you serve the beginning and the end that should not be an issue. Sarah had a baby at what age? No one should rush into marriage with the wrong person and have to deal with the consequences. Americans use it as a publicity stunt or for security like health insurance and life insurance or whatever. If you read your Bible and ask God for understanding you will see why Eve was created for Adam. She was a helper. She was needed. Do not be in a relationship where you do no feel needed. If you are needed, is the man/woman godly? I do not mean does He/She go to church or believe Jesus Christ died on the cross? No I mean a man/woman after God's heart. They work daily to deny their self and take up the cross of Jesus. They show love and other fruits of the spirit(Gal.5:22). They care about winning souls for Christ and so many other good stuff. The person is bold, confident and prayerful.
Ladies and gentleman evaluate your relationship and if you are not in one like me keep waiting on God. He has someone special for you. Trust in the Lord and serve Him wholeheartedly you will not regret it. Heaven and earth will pass away but God's words will never pass away.Matt 24:35

Are you different?
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
God chose you to declare His praises. In 1 Corinthians 10:31 it says whether you eat or drink, whatever you do, do it for the glory of God. Is what you are doing bringing God glory???
The chapter goes on in verse 11 that you should be foreigners and exiles (in the world) and abstain from sinful desires(the evil desires, the passions of the flesh, your lower nature) that wage war against your soul. You should conduct yourself properly among the worldly people so that may witness your good deeds and glorify God.
Ephesians 5:1-20 talks about how our conduct should be. We should walk in love(esteeming and delighting in one another) as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God(for you, so that it became) a sweet fragrance. There should be no hint of sexual immorality, or any kind of impurity,or of greed,because these are improper for God's holy people. Let there be no filthiness(obscenity,indecency) nor foolish and sinful(silly and corrupt) talk, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting or becoming; but instead voice your thankfulness (to God). These sort of people will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Christians scratch that disciples of Christ should be DIFFERENT. We should not be like the world. If you love the world the love of the father is not in you. 1 John 2:15-17
Examine yourself. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Confess your sins to the Lord and He will forgive you. Do not take grace for granted.

Where is your treasures?
Do not gather and heap up and store up treasures on earth, where moth and rust and worm consume and destroy, and where thieves break through and steal. But gather and heap up and store for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust nor worm consume and destroy, and where thieves do not break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6:19-21 AMP
What makes you different as a Christian? Are you working hard just as an unbeliever chasing money,degrees,jobs and other worthless activities. We were called for more than that. Jesus said you will know my people by their fruit (Matthew 7:20). What fruit are you bearing? Have you shared the gospel? or saved a soul?
The main reason I believe people are not bearing fruit is because you do not have a true relationship with God. You are just religious. You go to church every Sunday but have not roots. You do not mediate on God's word. You are pretending to love God. If you love God you will want to hear from him and spend time with Him. You will obey his commandments. You do not pick and choose what to follow.
This day and age most people talk about relationships(bf/gf). I hear/see people talking about I just want to hear from that person all day long. Don't we know God wants to hear from us all day long. The greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (Matthew 22:37). There are several scriptures that says pray without ceasing(1 Thess. 5:17) and pray in the spirit at all times (Eph. 6:18) but this cannot happen if your heart is far from God. You have to want to do His will and follow his ways already laid for you in the Holy Bible.
Examine yourself. We as Christians need to spend more time thinking of expanding God's kingdom not our own. I read a book that said the grave is the richest place because people did not use their gifts/talents from God. People are just chasing after money,houses,cars and so many other vain things. These things will not get buried with us or even go to heaven with us. Wake up fellow believers we were made for more than what we aspire for. Spend time with God and follow His ways. He will direct your path. Read all of Psalm 37 and I pray your blessed tremendously. Desire God and He will reveal Himself to you.

Trust God
Why do we attribute all good things to God but we find it so hard to go to God when we are going through struggles. We stop going to church,praying and start saying I am trying to get myself together. What? How can you get yourself together without the one who created you. Children of God please open your eyes or as my Nigerian people say shine your eyes lol. You will kept being where you are(not maturing in Christ) if we do not go through test or trials we will not grow. For example in school we are in one class/grade and we want to move on. We will be given an exam to take to move on to the next level. It is the same way with God. He will not reveal secrets,mysteries and so much good stuff to babies. My Nigerian people know about this. They say what an old man sees sitting down, a young man cannot see even if he climbs the biggest tree lol. It is the same with God. People who are still babies in Christ do not understand the big things. Your spiritual eyes are closed. You can only grow in spiritually from spending time with God ( by reading your Bible, praying, fasting,worshiping Him) in your own time. Disclaimer I did not say go to church. So many people think going to church is suppose to solve all their problems. NO. Do not get me wrong. I love going to church to fellowship with other believers. It is awesome but you have to have your own special time with God as well. Today with so many false teachers people have to be careful what information they are receiving. If you want the full effect. You have to understand the word of God. God test us but He does not tempt us? In Psalm 66:10-12 The Israelites were going through a hard time "they said they were refined like silver". I know that must hurt.
If you loose a job, can't find a job,children are acting wayward,loosing friends, broke up with a boyfriend or life seems so tough let me say. You have neglected your personal time with God. God tells us to Rejoice always and to give thanks in all circumstances so if we are not having communion with God it is going to be hard to see why certain things are coming up. Please read the rest of the Psalm 66 to verse 20 to see what happened next.
If you are in sin and are going through so many hard times. It is the devil frustrating you. You have to be dead to sin maximize God's grace. Read previous blogs to see if you are covered from the devil's schemes.
This blog is one of my shortest because is an encouragement to myself to stay focused on the things of God (Matt:6:33). God has been with me for 21 years of my life even though I have not always been with Him. I have nothing to loose in trusting Him. I know he has great and mighty things in store for me. Jer. 29:11

"What good is it for someone to gain the whole world,yet forfeit their soul?"
verse 38, "If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his father's glory with the holy angels"
I feel if you are truly converted you will want to share/talk/broadcast about the freedom God has given you. You will want to show others the path so people check yourself.
Children of God should be lead by the Holy Spirit so if you are not being led by the Spirit are you sure you are a Child of God?
When we are saved our heart changes and nothing else. As my pastor said your face doesn't change, your race doesn't change but your heart does. It is up to us to put off the work of the flesh. In Galatians 5:17-21 The flesh is in conflict with the spirit. The acts of the flesh are immorality, impurity,indecency,idolatry,sorcery,enmity,strife,jealousy,anger,selfishness,divisions,party spirit, envy,drunkenness,carousing and the like. These are all the things main stream culture talks about. Most of all the songs played on the radio, the TV shows, and movies highly advertised talk about ungodly things.
The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness,self-control Galatians 5:22
Please fellow believers let us examine ourselves and cry out to the Lord to help us use our gifts for His glory. We will all have to account for what we are given. Revelation 20:12.
Patience and faith are so important when using your gifts especially if you want to become popular. Your time will come when you will shine. In your time on waiting, reach the people you can and live for Christ. Please people stop conforming to this world owned by the devil. God is using the time to train you. Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, and they will walk and not faint. If you truly are a child of God you will not care about the money or who knows you. In Matthew 6:19 we are told not to store up treasure here(on earth) for ourselves. Your only concern should be if the gospel is being spread and if what you are doing is bringing glory to God. Examine yourself believers (2 Corinthians 13:5). The devil is looking for whom to devour.

You are never too far gone
Never Never think you are so far gone in sin to REPENT. Jesus died so that our (EVERYBODY'S) sins may be washed away. The death was not just for people who go to church.
John 3:16
"For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He(even) gave up His only begotten (unique) son, so that whoever believes in( trusts, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal(everlasting) life" Amplified Bible
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here.
When you totally surrender to Christ and grow roots in Him( through reading His word and praying) you will have new desires. You will want to spread the gospel, obey all God's commandments, and just be more like Christ everyday. But Guess what? The enemy does not want that. He will mess with your mind. The trick of the enemy is to remind you daily of the wrong you did but it is your duty to put his words under the word of God. This is why you need to read the scriptures and have them in your heart.
For example before the Holy Spirit gave me wisdom and revelation to know God better. Before the eyes of my heart was enlightened with the Word of God to know the hope to which he called me, and the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people I was looking to what other believers did. If you want this experience, the prayer is in Ephesians 1:17. I did not understand that my only comparison was to be more like Christ. I did not understand what it truly meant to be a Christian.
I went to a club which I have already decided I was not going to anymore 2 years ago when I heard a teaching on compromising your Christian life. But due to my so called Christians friends were going I went as well . So right now as I am living out my calling in Christ I sometimes have thoughts of people won't take me serious or I am not ready but God says different. Time is nothing. It is your decision that matters and you being grounded in the faith. If I was rooted and grounded in God's word as I should, I would have not fallen in that temptation. Also another thing that may hold back your Christian walk is culture. Being a Nigerian there is a lot of values they have that have shaped my life but I have to always make sure it aligns with God's word. Another reason I went to the club was because my church members were going who are not clearly rooted in the word of God and because the club is owned by a Nigerian. I am still having to put my daily decisions under God's ways not culture. Culture may say, In America most young people start dating young from middle school but what does God say? Courting should only start in the intend to get married not for fun or to have someone texting your phone. I thank God I did not become a victim to the devil in this area.
so beloved the only way you can avoid temptation and enjoy your time serving God is being rooted and grounded in the word of God and through prayer. The devil is roaming around looking for whom to devour and if you do not fight with your armor(read my blog Are you covered) you will fall a victim. There is work out there for you to do that God has designed for you. Self-Worth in Christ
Do you not know that your body is the temple(the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received (as a gift) from God? You are not your own, You were bought with a price (purchased with preciousness and paid for, made His own). So then honor God and bring glory to Him in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 AMP

This blog is coming about because I am tired of seeing so many girls wearing short dresses, see through blouses, low cut shirts that expose their boobs and so much nonsense. Everything out there does not need to be bought. Why are you selling yourself short? You are queen, bought at a high price(Jesus Christ life). You are giving away all your assets for free. There is a saying that goes why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? why would they? You take pictures showing the size of you butt or cleavage just to get a comment "sexy,hot, smh. When you spend time with God you can hear wonderful comments about yourself all day long and you can be wearing your night gown and he will still feel the same way about you. Psalm 139:14 you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are beautiful. God does not create junk,worthless,wretched,ugly things. In Genesis 1:31 God looked over all he has made, and he saw that it was very good. Young woman your are gorgeous.
Men will appreciate what they worked hard to attain. If you are wearing crappy clothes to attract a guy he will not appreciate you. You came cheaply and He can get another like you cheaply. Renew your mind with God's word. A real man will want something he worked hard for. Men are created to work.
Please ladies stop being conformed to this world. Thinking the only way a man will appreciate you is through your body. You may say I know my self-worth so I wear what I like because I feel like it or it is fashion. The fashion you are looking up to is of the devil. He wants women to degrade themselves and look worthless. He does not want you to know about your glorious inheritance, He wants you to find self-worth in this sensual world. So ask yourself, does what you wear bring glory to God? Don't lie God knows. What you are wearing is causing guys to lust which is a sin so please stop(Matthew 5:28). Honor God with your body and He will honor your life.
You can wear a maxi dress.skirt, and so many other modest outfits and look amazing. We cannot say we love God and not honor him with our dressing. Our dressing should honor God. We are not our own.
If you were deceived into living this kind of life. Call out to God and he will help you modify your dressing. When you walk through the mall and see the things you thought were cute, they will be horrible and you will want to tell others to discard of such stuff.
You will only get help if you want it. If you read this blog and continue to do what you like, You will be held accountable. I love you all tremendously that is why I am sharing. If I didn't I would keep this information to myself.

Are you Covered?
Ephesians 6:10-17
"Finally Receive your power from the Lord and from his mighty strength. Put on all the armor that God supplies. In this way you can take a stand against the devil's strategies. This is not a wrestling match against a human opponent. We are wrestling with rulers,authorities,the powers who govern this world of darkness, and spiritual forces that control evil in the heavenly world. For this reason, take up all the armor that God supplies. Then you will be able to stand during these evil days. Once you have overcome all obstacles,you will be able to stand your ground. So then take your stand!Fasten Truth around your waist like a belt. Put on God's approval as your breastplate. Put on your shoes so that you are ready to spread the Good News that gives peace.In addition to all these, take the Christian faith as your shield. With it you can put out all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Also take salvation as your helmet and the word of God as the sword that the Spirit supplies" This is from God's words translation Bible.
Being a Christian is a battle. Guess what? God gave us the supplies/materials we need to fight. The devil is a deceiver,trickster, and so much more. We have to be very very very very careful what we watch.
This blog is coming because I see a lot of Christians excited about the new season of the show Scandal airing and I am saddened. I was one of those people a couple months ago. But I thank my Heavenly father for opening my eyes of understanding to His words and ways. I remember reading a blog or post by some girl that said the show should not be watched by Christians but then I was being deceived so I was indulging in watching the show anyways.
How can we be contributing to the success of a show that goes against everything God does not want us to do. There is fornication,adultery,swindlers,murderers and so much more in that show. We should know or if we do not know. These people will not inherit the kingdom of God(1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Instead of us watching the show, we should be talking to God about how we can save such people from perishing instead of supporting/encouraging it.
Please people stop gratifying the flesh. We are called to live HOLY, Godly and Righteous lives. This means being obedient to God's word. In Colossians 3:5-7 we are told to put to death what belongs to the world.
We need to spend our time growing/maturing in Christ not continuing being fed baby food (milk) when we are suppose to be teachers Hebrews 5:12-14.
Lets be honest with ourselves will Jesus watch that show with us? so why are we grieving the Holy Spirit? Ephesians 4:29 We may even be getting convicted then but we want to continue gratifying the flesh instead of feeding the spirit. smh Please let us change so we can run the race before us. The devil owns the world so He will do so much to keep us from coming to the knowledge of truth(WORD OF GOD).
We are told to think on what is pure,lovely,noble,right and so much(Philippians 4:8). Watching Scandal or any other show or movie like Think like a man or the kinds that displeases God is not helping us think on any of these things. Let us rise up, awaken from the schemes of the enemy. There is so much work to be done but it cannot be done if we as believers are comfortable where we are or are not growing. It is feeding the carnal mind that may cause some people to be tempted so fellow believers let us Guard our hearts, because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. If we keep feeding our spirit with such things we will eventually start speaking it .(Matthew 12:34)
I know this blog will help someone out because God led me to write it. Please if it touches you. Talk to God(pray) and stay rooted and grounded in Him. The devil will do whatever to keep us from our glorious inheritance in Christ. God is sooooo good that He gave us so much knowledge and wisdom on how to fight the good fight of faith. Stop being deceived we have to sow into the things of the Spirit and not the flesh. The flesh ways are different from the spirit. The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41. Pray continually and meditate on scriptures. Draw near to God.

Mark 8:35 says "for whoever wants to save his (higher,spiritual,eternal) life, will lose it (the lower,natural,temporal life which is lived only on earth); and whoever gives up his life (which is lived only on earth); for My sake and the Gospel's will save it (his higher, spiritual life in the eternal kingdom of God) (Jesus is the one talking)
Serving God is more than going to church every Sunday, every Bible study, doing community service,giving alms, praise dancing, singing in the choir, ushering or whatever. Yall know where I am headed. You have to make time for him. Read His Word(Bible) for yourself and pray and listen to Him(Holy Spirit). We cannot say we know God and we do not know when He speaks.
Your life has to show you know Him and love Him. Jesus said "If ye love me you will keep my commandments". (John 14:15). Read the 10 commandments(Exodus 20), even if you do not know it, you should know Jesus said the greatest command is to love God with all your heart,soul, and mind and Love your neighbor as yourself. What is Love check 1 Corinthians 13 4-13.
You cannot say you love God with your mouths but your heart is far from Him (Matt 15:8). God is not mocked Gal 6: 7-8. You cannot just want prosperity and blessings in this temporal world..
Please people check yourself, Repent the kingdom of God is near. Seek God wholeheartedly, not for what you can get but for who He is.

Our walk with Christ is a personal journey. We cannot wait for others to follow before we follow. When you hear the call please ANSWER.

You cannot tell me your serving God if you are so concerned with celebrities and pop culture. You are up on all the new gossip. You keep up with designer labels or the newest technology. You wake up to scroll through your Facebook, Instagram, snap chat, and other social ,media outlets. . You will keep trying to fill a void that only God can fill. I am not saying any of these things are bad but what are you using them for? Are you using it for good or for bad? There should be a limit as to how we use social media and are we being ambassadors for Christ on them. I am not saying there are bad but there is a limit. Focus on God. .Do not store up treasures here on earth but build up God's kingdom though love.
Being the world's friend is being an enemy to God. James 4:4
Stop looking at what your family,friends,pastor, elder woman in church or whoever is doing and look to Christ. We are called Christians for a reason. We are here to follow Christ not anyone else. Stop being deceived by false teachers. Check in 1 Timothy and 2nd, Yes I am giving you homework. If you care, you will go and look it up.If you can Google all sort of things why not? Google what the Bible says. I pray the Holy Spirit is convicting someone and change is taking place. I am sharing because I love you and do not want you to perish. God loves you more.
God is faithful and just to forgive you, if you confess your sins and draw near to Him.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8 . Don't we know a double-minded person is unstable in all their ways? check James 1:8

Music, we all listen to music. Some people when they wake up, some before they go to bed. We play music when we are driving,cooking,doing laundry,exercising, on our way to work and even at work. Music lyrics plant seeds. We wonder why people are so mean, emotional or unrealistic. It comes from what they have been feeding their spirit. As Christians we have to be mindful how we are allowing pop culture to play a role in our lives.
When I was still a babe in Christ I would say certain secular (worldly) artist were my favorite artist however I was ignorant of one of the devil's weapon to get into one's soul. Satan was using music to distract my attention from the things of God. I was not able to keep my mind pure by the music I was listening to. Scripture says sin starts from the mind so we have to guard our mind. We take music so lightly but we should not since lucifer was a musician. I am thankful I have come to this realization.
All secular songs are not bad but we just have to be mindful to how much time and what message we are getting from them. We cannot spend hours listening to songs about sex and think we will not be thinking about sex or songs that tell you to disobey God and think you will not be tempted or start practicing the things. As the decades change music is getting more raw or songs have subliminal messages. I remember in high school when Twista's song wetter came out I did not even know what it meant. My sister and I were singing it and I remember one of our class mates calling us freaks smh. When I grew up in Nigeria there was a lot of discussions that were taboo to talk about. However when I came to America the opposite was the case. It seems everyone had sex on their minds. It was even confirmed in college when a professor of a class called Media and the Sexes said sex sells..
The music we listen to should inspire us to change and motivate us to do great things not tempt us and put ungodly thoughts in our mind. I remember songs from the past like 2 pac changes and Michael Jackson Man in the mirror or black or white even Respect by Anita Baker and so much more which gave us deep messages or teachings. Please Brethren Phil 4:8 says brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. Check yourself loves does your music library have these messages on them
I know people are so quick to tell people what they should or not do and not come up with solutions so I have decided to come up with a list of some inspirational artist I enjoy that does not only sing about Jesus but about issues going on in the world and are seeking for change. I will keep adding to this list as time permits or as I listen to more artist

Blanca and there are so many more inspirational artist with great messages. One thing I love about you tube is when you listen to one song/video it brings suggestions that are similar. Praise and worship are great as well from different countries as far as the artist is genuine.. Everyone's walk is different and no one is perfect but we have to be pressing toward the mark. . You cannot tell me God is leading you and your favorite artist is a worldly artist who glorifies everything God is against. You are a liar and truth is not in you.
Be not deceived, God is not mocked. Don't we know? all we will do in heaven is worship God. So if you do not like or can't stand Christian/Gospel music now on earth how do you think you will spend eternity with God. Please people check yourself, repent and seek God's face. God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. You may thinking I am young and you will change when you turn 30. How dare you think you will live to see thirty without God's grace. You are reading this blog for a reason so change. In Ecclesiastes 12:1 it says "Remember(earnestly) also your Creator (that you are not your own, but His property now) in the days of your youth, before the evil days come or the years draw near when you will say (of physical pleasures), I have no enjoyment in them". Our youthful days is the best time to serve God because we have so much strength. It is better we channel our energy to something greater than you and for your creator. It is also very good to serve God in your youthful days so you would not be ashamed to share your past with your children on how to live a godly life.
Please do not try and get rid of your music by your own efforts. Seek God's face to help you. I tried doing it by my own power and I couldn't. When God helps you get rid of things, there is nothing you will feel like your losing out on. You will be more joyful, peaceful, happy and content with your life. Read your Bible too friends. We cannot say we love God or are His disciple and we do not know His words or spend time with Him. God is always open to receive us but are we ready? Give Him your all and you will not regret it. Please do not look to others for your journey with Christ look to Christ. We are here to be like him. I used to look to others and that was holding me back. Your time is now. Look for inspirational pages to follow or people as well, We are in a battle as Christians Ephesians 6:10-20. The way to God is narrow( Matt 7:13-14) do not be deceived by what others are doing and their prosperity. The devil will give material things to people doing His will.
